Let’s celebrate June 9
International Archives Day 2016 #IAD16 is coming up! Like every year Ask Archivists and Follow An Archive organize a celebration event on Twitter.
With the celebration event we join the June 9 theme ‘Archives, Harmony and Friendship‘ of the International Council on Archives (ICA).
The theme of the annual Twitter event will be #archivesrock. It’s about music in archives.

I spent some time wondering what I’d done for International Archives Day. I’m not working directly in a special collection at present so wasn’t focused on sharing images or posting stories. I felt disappointed until I remembered that I’d walked into work chatting with an archivist who’s from the other side of the world. International Archives Day couldn’t have started in a more friendly or perfect way 🙂
